National Disability Rights March - 3 December 2015

Thursday 3 December is International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and all interested parties are invited to take part in the National Disability Rights March in the city of Tshwane, in support of people with disabilities!

 

Venue: Union Buildings, City of Tshwane

Time: 09h00 – 15h00

 

The assembly point will be the Acardia Park next to the Pretoria Museum on Wessels Street. The March will commence at 9:30 am and proceed along Wessels Street, crossing Schoeman Street, crossing Pretorius Street, crossing Church Street and turning right into the Southern Lawns of the Union Buildings. The programme will commence at 10 am and the official event will be at 12:00. A cultural programme and exhibit area will run throughout the morning at the Union Buildings. The formal programme will commence around 12h00 for 12h30, and we should be done by 15h00. EVERYONE is welcome – persons with disabilities and their families, residents, leaders of civil society, disability organisations, businesses etc. A special call is also made for all public servants with disabilities in Gauteng to apply for permission to be released to join the activities.
